Ranking The 10 Hottest Arizona Fall League Prospects | Hot Sheet (11/3/25)

We’re continuing our usual Hot Sheet installments into the fall by ranking the hottest prospects in the Arizona Fall League each week. Contributing this week were BA staffers J.J. Cooper, Geoff Pontes and Josh Norris.

Just as with our regular in-season Hot Sheet, our weekly AFL list simply recognizes how the hottest prospects in the minors did in the past week—it’s not a re-ranking of the Baseball America Top 100 Prospects.

We host our weekly Hot Sheet Show on YouTube at 3:30 p.m. ET on Mondays.

1. Sam Petersen, OF, Nationals
  • Team: Scottsdale Scorpions
  • Age: 22
  • Why He’s Here: .421/.476/.842 (8-for-19), 5 R, 2 2B, 0 3B, 2 HR, 5 RBIs, 1 BB, 7 SO, 0-for-0 SB

The Scoop: Petersen missed time on both the front and back end of the 2025 season, but when he was in the lineup this year, he hit. This has held true in the Arizona Fall League, as Petersen has found success with his aggressive barrel-hunting style of hitting. This past week, the 22-year-old outfielder slugged his way to the top of the AFL weekly leaderboard with two doubles and two home runs across five games. Petersen will need to improve his bat-to-ball skills and swing decisions to make it as an everyday starting outfielder. (GP)

2. Parks Harber, 3B, Giants

  • Team: Scottsdale Scorpions
  • Age: 24
  • Why He’s Here: .571/.647/.857 (8-for-14), 2 R, 4 2B, 0 3B, 0 HR, 3 RBIs, 3 BB, 3 SO, 0-for-0 SB

The Scoop: Harber went undrafted in 2024, signed with the Yankees out of North Carolina and, following a breakout first half last year, was acquired by the Giants at the 2025 trade deadline. After impressing with eye-popping exit velocity data in the regular season, Harber has continued to impress with his bat in the AFL. This past week, Harber hit four doubles and finished fourth in the league with 12 total bases. He walked as many times as he struck out over four games and reached base at the highest rate of any hitter in the league. Harber has the power and plate skills to hit his way into regular at-bats in the major leagues over the next two seasons. However, at 24 years old, the clock is ticking. (GP)

3. Starlyn Caba, SS, Marlins
  • Team: Mesa Solar Sox
  • Age: 19
  • Why He’s Here: .500/.571/.722 (9-for-18) 2 R, 1 2B, 1 HR, 5 RBIs, 3 BB, 3 SO, 1 SB, 1 CS

The Scoop: The AFL is not loaded with top-notch pitching talent this year, but even without that challenge there are signs of real progress from Caba. While he’s an exceptional shortstop, there have been real concerns he may not hit enough for it to matter. His .222/.335/.278 line in Low-A Jupiter this year did nothing to reduce those worries. So far in the AFL, however, Caba is slashing .327/.448/.473 and hitting the ball harder. His 90th percentile exit velocity is 102.8 mph in the desert after being only 99.8 in the Florida State League this summer. (JJ)

4. Fenwick Trimble, OF, Marlins
  • Team: Mesa Solar Sox
  • Age: 23
  • Why He’s Here: .400/.545/.667 (6-for-15), 5 R, 1 2B, 0 3B, 1 HR, 3 RBIs, 6 BB, 0 SO, 4-for-5 SB

The Scoop: Until this past week, Trimble’s AFL campaign had been quite quiet. The two extra-base hits he turned in last week doubled his season-long total, and he hit his first home run of the fall, as well. The four bags he swiped also doubled his season total. Although the first three weeks of the AFL didn’t go the way the former James Madison standout might have liked, a strong fourth week might be just what he needed to propel himself to a hot finish.  (JN)

5. Enmanuel Tejeda, SS, Yankees
  • Team: Mesa Solar Sox
  • Age: 20
  • Why He’s Here: .286/.444/.643 (4-for-14), 4 R, 2 2B, 0 3B, 1 HR, 6 RBIs, 3 BB, 1 SO, 4-for-5 SB

The Scoop: Tejeda missed most of the regular season while dealing with injuries, so he’s making up for lost time in the AFL. The 20-year-old infielder put together his best week yet, racking up three extra-base hits—including his first AFL home run—after entering the week with just one fall XBH for the season. Four stolen bases doubled his season total. Most of Tejeda’s offensive contributions this fall have come from his dozen walks, but last week he sprinkled in a little impact, as well. (JN)

6. Tommy White, 3B, Athletics
  • Team: Mesa Solar Sox
  • Age: 22
  • Why He’s Here: .412/.545/.588 (7-for-17) 8 R, 1 HR, 4 RBIs, 3 BB, 2 SO, 2 SB, 1 CS

The Scoop: While it had been a relatively quiet Arizona Fall League for White until this past week, it’s always reasonable to expect the former LSU slugger to figure things out at the plate, as he’s just a very pure hitter. His lack of power this AFL season has been also a part of his story so far as a pro. He did homer last week, but he has extra-base hits in just three of his 14 AFL games, and he finished the 2025 regular season with 12 homers in 93 games. (JJ)

7. Enrique Bradfield, OF, Orioles

  • Team: Peoria Javelinas
  • Age: 23
  • Why He’s Here: .333/.474/.533 (5-for-15), 7 R, 3 2B, 0 3B, 0 HR, 4 RBIs, 4 BB, 4 SO, 4-for-4 SB

The Scoop: When he’s not making game-saving catches, Bradfield is pestering opposing defenses at the top of Peoria’s lineup. By going a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen bases, he ran himself into a tie with Braves prospect Patrick Clohisy atop the AFL leaderboard. To get on base, he peppered in five hits and four walks. Three of those hits were doubles, more than—ahem—doubling his season total in that category. Combine his offensive and defensive gifts, and you have a player in Bradfield who might make his presence felt in Baltimore next summer. (JN)

8. Josh Kuroda-Grauer, SS, Athletics
  • Team: Mesa Solar Sox
  • Age: 22
  • Why He’s Here: .368/.429/.579 (7-for-19), 5 R, 2 2B, 1 3B, 0 HR, 3 RBIs, 1 BB, 2 SO, 3-for-3 SB

The Scoop: Kuroda-Grauer is proving once again that you don’t have to be a slugger to succeed in the Arizona Fall League. The Athletics infielder has instead used his blend of bat-to-ball skills, speed and defense to make his way. So far over 13 games with Mesa, Kuroda-Grauer is hitting .318/.388/.477 with five doubles, a triple and seven stolen bases. This past week, he really put it together, as he logged a pair of doubles, a triple and three steals. Kuroda-Grauer isn’t the highest-profile player in the team’s system, but he might be one who can fill a variety of roles for the A’s in the coming years. (GP)

9. Anderson Brito, RHP, Astros
  • Team: Scottsdale Scorpions
  • Age: 21
  • Why He’s Here: 1-0, 0.00, 1 GS, 3 IP, 0 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 SO

The Scoop: Brito’s combination of a near-100 mph fastball, hard high-80s sweeper, changeup and mid-80s curveball have helped him rack up 22 strikeouts—second best in the league behind only Jake Bennett. While he may end up as a reliever in the long term, Brito’s present stuff is close to MLB caliber if he can throw more strikes and stay healthy. (JJ)

10. James Hicks, RHP, Astros
  • Team: Scottsdale Scorpions
  • Age: 24
  • Why He’s Here: 0-0, 0.00, 1 G, 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 SO

The Scoop: Pitching is in extremely small supply this year in the AFL. Scottsdale and Peoria are tied for the team ERA lead at 4.72. Three teams (Salt River, Mesa and Glendale) have ERAs of 6.66 or greater, and Glendale’s 7.91 team ERA, 2.04 WHIP and .292 opponents average are borderline obscene. So performances like Hicks’, who has yet to allow a run and has given up only six hits in 14 innings, are truly exceptional. His 19-to-2 strikeout-to-walk ratio further illustrates his dominance. Hicks does not throw hard—he maxed out at just under 93 mph in his outing this week—but he’s filling the zone with his slider and both fastballs. (JJ)
