While fans on the whole seem overjoyed with the line-up for Primavera Sound 2026, there is one name that many thought would be added: Lorde.

The Kiwi singer was one of the most strongly rumoured names for the new bill – with her sharing her highly anticipated album ‘Virgin’ this summer, making a surprise appearance at Glasto, and kicking off her ‘Ultrasound’ world tour.

Hope isn’t fully lost though, as she did comment on the line-up announcement last month and sparked rumours that she could be added to the bill closer to the date.

“This line-up rules,” she commented on a photo on Instagram, leading to some wondering if it could be a hint that she will be a part of that line-up soon.

Lorde will begin a run of UK and European live dates in November, which currently does not include any stops in Spain. She last performed at Primavera Sound Barcelona in 2022.

This year’s edition of Primavera Sound Barcelona was headlined by Charli XCX, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter. The event also hosted slots from LCD Soundsystem, FKA Twigs, Haim, Jamie xx, Fontaines D.C., Beach House, IDLES, Turnstile and more.
