How to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to World of Hyatt

You have many options for redeeming Chase Ultimate Rewards points. But typically, you can get the most value by transferring them to one of the program's 10 airline or three hotel loyalty program partners.

One of the best Chase transfer partners for reaping the most value from your points is World of Hyatt. Here's what you need to know about transferring Chase points to Hyatt.

Can you transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt?

If you have one of the following cards, you can transfer points from your Ultimate Rewards account to select airline and hotel loyalty programs, including World of Hyatt:

Additionally, if you have other Ultimate Rewards cards that earn cash-back rewards, such as the Chase Freedom Unlimited® (see rates and fees) or the Chase Freedom Flex® (see rates and fees), you can transfer rewards from these cards to a card account that earns Ultimate Rewards points. Then, you could transfer all the rewards — including those originally earned via cash-back Ultimate Rewards cards — to transfer partners such as World of Hyatt.

Chase-to-Hyatt transfer ratio

As with all the Ultimate Rewards transfer partners, the Chase to Hyatt transfer ratio is 1:1, and you must transfer points in increments of 1,000. This means that if you transfer 10,000 Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt, you'll end up with 10,000 Hyatt points.

A transfer bonus could theoretically boost the transfer ratio; however, we've yet to see a transfer bonus from Chase Ultimate Rewards to World of Hyatt and are unlikely to see one due to the high value of Hyatt points.

World of Hyatt is one of, if not the, most valuable Chase transfer partners. Based on TPG's January 2026 valuations, Chase Ultimate Rewards points are worth 2.05 cents each, while Hyatt points are worth 1.7 cents each.

How long does it take to transfer Chase points to Hyatt?

Chase notes that Hyatt points should appear in your account by the next business day, but it may take up to seven business days. In practice, points I transfer from Chase to Hyatt usually appear in my Hyatt account almost immediately.

You'll get an email from Chase once you submit a request to transfer Chase points to Hyatt and another once the transfer is complete. So, even if your transfer takes a bit longer than usual, know you'll get an email once it's complete.

When should you transfer Chase points to World of Hyatt?

I transfer Chase points to Hyatt when I don't have enough Hyatt points in my account to book a specific award stay and don't want to buy Hyatt points. I always compare paid rates to award rates and redeem Hyatt points instead of booking a paid stay when I get at least 2 cents per point in value.

There are two other considerations to keep in mind before transferring Chase points to Hyatt.

Should you redeem points for a stay through Chase Travel?

You can transfer Chase points to Hyatt and then book an award stay through World of Hyatt.

However, another way to redeem Ultimate Rewards points for a Hyatt stay is to book your stay through the Chase Travel℠ portal and redeem Ultimate Rewards points at checkout.

I generally avoid booking Hyatt stays through the Chase Travel portal, as these bookings usually won't earn me elite credits and benefits from World of Hyatt (only bookings through The Edit by Chase Travel let you earn hotel points and elite benefits). However, some travelers may want to compare the points cost of booking directly with Hyatt versus booking through the Chase Travel portal.

Could you earn Hyatt points via another method?

Transferring Chase points to Hyatt isn't the only way to earn Hyatt points. If you need to boost your Hyatt account balance quickly, you can also buy Hyatt points.

And if you have more time to earn Hyatt points, you could boost your account balance via stays or spending with a World of Hyatt card. Here's a look at the welcome offers on two such cards:

  • World of Hyatt Credit Card (see rates and fees): Earn up to five free nights: three free nights after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first three months from accounting opening and an additional two free nights after spending $15,000 on purchases in the first six months. Free nights can be redeemed at any Category 1-4 Hyatt property.
  • World of Hyatt Business Credit Card (see rates and fees): Earn 60,000 bonus points after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.

So, while transferring Chase points to Hyatt is a great way to accrue Hyatt points, it's not the only way.

Bottom line

Transferring Chase points to Hyatt is often a good way to get excellent value from your Ultimate Rewards points. However, keep in mind that every Chase point you transfer to Hyatt is a Chase point you can't transfer to other Ultimate Rewards transfer partners.

I recommend keeping your Ultimate Rewards points until you're ready to book an award flight or night. Then, transfer your rewards once you find availability and determine the redemption rate is high enough to justify using your Ultimate Rewards points.

If you need more Chase points, consider taking advantage of one of the following welcome offers on Ultimate Rewards cards:
