Each week, fresh missions unlock in the Paw-fect Romance Star Path event, presenting you with even more duties to check off in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Two of the trickier ones you’ll encounter ask you to plant and harvest something round and red.

Something round and red refers to Tomatoes in DDV. There are many different ingredients you might think of upon discovering this duty, like Apples, Beetroots, Bell Peppers, Red Currants, and other similar items. No other ingredient works for progressing this mission, though.
Star Path duties often hone in on one specific item while ignoring other possible assets that technically also match the description. This oftentimes makes them harder than you might expect, but once you know what asset you need to seek out, checking off these types of tasks is fairly doable.
For the routine duty that references something round and red, the general theme of the week is cooking a romantic meal, so the item you must seek is an ingredient fit to task. Since the Paw-fect Romance Star Path was released with the Puppy Love update, it’s heavily focused on items from Lady and the Tramp, including spaghetti, which requires Tomatoes.
Plant and harvest something round and red in Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are two routine duties that reference something round and red. The first one tasks you with planting something round and red, so for this one, you must plant 15 Tomato Seeds to earn 25 Tokens to spend in the event. The second mission asks you to harvest something round and red, so you need to harvest a total of 15 Tomatoes to earn an additional 25 Tokens.
You can purchase Tomato Seeds from Goofy’s Stall in the Dazzle Beach biome, where he sells them for eight Star Coins per bag. Purchasing this item is also a crucial step for another routine duty that asks you to buy seeds to grow a key pasta sauce ingredient.
Once planted and watered, Tomatoes take about 25 minutes to grow. If you plant them in Dazzle Beach, their native biome, the growth time is lessened slightly, and they’ll take a bit over 22 minutes. Both of the missions asking you to plant and harvest something round and red are quite easy and rewarding once you know what is being referenced, so be sure to check them off if you’re seeking some easy Tokens.
