In this article, we have put a range of TravisMathew’s apparel to the test. From water-resistant trousers, to mid-layers and gilets that trap heat without restricting your rotation, all the way up to beanies and accessories to defend against biting winds.
Here’s some of the best TravisMathews winter golf apparel for 2025…
Best TravisMathew Winter Golf Apparel
TravisMathew Wanderlust Gilet
The TravisMathew Wanderlust Gilet is a really stylish piece of kit. Black clothing might not be to everyone’s taste on the golf course, but it is smart and has a simplistic design. The fit is great, so don’t go over-thinking your size. If you are a large, then choose a large. You get the idea.
It is not only smart, but comfortable too. I like gilets you can walk around the golf course with your hands slotted into the pockets, which is especially satisfying in the colder winter months. There is somethig about a gilet where your hands and arms naturally hang and sit, and this gilet is no exception. You feel secure and locked in with this TravisMathew number.
Now, TravisMathew produces premium clothing items which come at a premium price. You will get your money’s worth, of that, there is no doubt. However, it might be a lot to ask someone to pay £84.99 for a gilet. If you can look beyond that, you have a great piece of clothing on your hands.
PROS
- Smart look
- Comfortable
- Nice/accurate fit
CONS
- Premium price
RRP: £84.99 / $139.95
Sizes: S-3XL
Colours: Black, Shade, Indigo

TravisMathew Highway Quarter Zip
A bit like the Wanderlust Gilet, the Highway Quarter Zip has a very smart look in black, and will look great when playing in the winter months. Boringly, I like dark-coloured golf clothing. It is risk-free, reliable and doesn’t show dirt as much as something white or light-coloured.
The wrists and the waist are made of the same banded, tight material which some people might not be a fan of. However, this is a minor detail about a piece of clothing that would fit the bill of many a wardrobe. It is stylish and what might stand out to people is the fact that you can wear it out and about. This Highway Quarter Zip isn’t exclusively a golf top and can be worn pretty much anywhere, I’d say.
There are no comfort issues, and it is just an all-rounder of a quarter-zip. This one can bat, field, bowl and probably do a stint keeping wicket too. It is that good, and not horrifically priced either.
PROS
- Looks smart
- Versatile
- Extremely comfortable
CONS
- None
RRP: £109.00 / $169.95
Sizes: S-3XL
Colours: Black

TravisMathew Mapes Beanie
Sometimes it’s not enough to be doing an activity that you enjoy, sometimes you need to be wearing that activity as well. This hat is an example of that, with a funky pattern depicting a golfer driving a golf cart. If that particular fashion genre suits you then this is an excellent hat to add to your collection, along with the T-Shirt of tennis rackets and trousers with bowling pins on them.
The hat itself very comfortable to wear and isn’t at all itchy which is something that can often let you down when it comes to hats. It’s also made from high quality acrylic. The price tag considering it’s from a premium apparel brand, is very reasonable. Keep this in mind for your next hat purchase this winter.
PROS
- Comfortable
- Quality Material
- Warm
CONS
- None
RRP: £26.99 / $39.95
Sizes: One Size
Colours: Total Eclipse, Heather Grey, Dusty Blue

TravisMathew Cloud 2.0 Quarter Zip
I am extremely happy that I was chosen to review this item of clothing because it is the exact sort of thing I both want and need.
The Cloud 2.0 quarter zip is a very classic understated ¼ zip jumper that can be worn with almost anything during the winter.
The fabric is very soft and warm which is 50% of the way there, and on top of that it also looks great which gets you 100% of the way there to being an item of clothing I will wear constantly for at least the next year.
I am a big fan of the grey colour as it can combo nicely with several different trousers. If you’re as much of a fan of this style of jumper then I would highly recommend this jumper.
PROS
- Great fit
- Very warm
- Unrestrictive
CONS
- None
RRP: £94.99 / $149.95
Sizes: S-3XL
Colours: Too many to mention, a great choice of colours – check out the TravisMathew website.

TravisMathew Open-to close Pants
The TravisMathew brand was born in California in 2007 with the aim of creating golf gear for those seeking ultimate comfort with relaxed styling and a modern fit. It was bought by Callaway in 2017 and has been worn by the likes of Jon Rahm, when he won The Masters and US Open, as well as other Callaway staffers including Sam Burns and Akshay Bhatia. It’s also found favour with the likes of actors including Chris Pratt and Adam Sandler.
And the OTC (standing for ‘open to close’ whatever that means!) chino trouser comes in an ultra soft, lightweight and stretchy fabric constructed from 72% polyester, 20% cotton and 8% elastane. It feels wonderfully comfortable next to the skin, and the comfort is enhanced by a tailored yet relaxed slim fitting design.
The material is moisture wicking and breathable. I tested the version in ‘heather quiet shade’, which means pale grey. It is an absolute delight to wear on the course, with four roomy pockets and a choice of colours. The garment runs true to size, and has minimal logoing so, as is the case with all TravisMathew gear. This means that the OTC chino is just as suitable for leisure or work as it is on the course.
It comes highly recommended.
PROS:
- Lovely soft fabric.
- Tailored and modern fit.
- Versatile.
- Good colour options.
CONS:
- Slim fit not for all
RRP: £99.99 / $139.95
Sizes: 30-40 waist / 30-34 leg
Colours: Black, Heather Quiet Shade, Thyme, Dress blue

TravisMathew The Heater Polo
The TravisMathew brand was born in California in 2007 with the aim of creating golf gear for those seeking ultimate comfort with relaxed styling and a modern fit. It was bought by Callaway in 2017 and has been worn by the likes of Jon Rahm, when he won The Masters and US Open, as well as other Callaway staffers including Sam Burns and Akshay Bhatia. It’s also found favour with the likes of actors Chris Pratt and Adam Sandler.
The Heater Polo is constructed from a fabric, comprising 70% recycled polyester, 23% cotton and 7% spandex. It is delightfully soft and offers four-way stretch and wicking properties. It runs true to size. The fit is both tailored and yet relaxed. There is a signature double-needle collar which gives a classic look with built-in collar stays for durability.
The micro-stripe design is subtle and yet classy. There is a small logo on the left chest and a wordmark just below the rear collar. It comes in a choice of eight colours, so you are sure to find a shade that suits. I liked the Heather Violet Storm version, a sort of pale lilac.
Although it is on the expensive side for a polo, The Heater is the sort of garment that looks equally at home on and off the course. As such, it comes highly recommended.
PROS:
- Lovely performance fabric.
- Beautifully tailored.
- Looks great on and off the course.
CONS:
- A little pricey
RRP: £74.99 / $89.95
Sizes: S-3XL
Colours: Black, Heather Microchip, Heather Dream Blue, Stellar Blue, Vintage Indigo/Black, Heather Imperial, Heather Scooter and Heather Violet Storm

TravisMathew Featherweight Flourish Polo
If you are looking to stand out from the crowd, then look no further than the Featherweight Flourish, a polo with an abstract floral print constructed from a wonderfully lightweight and soft fabric made from a polyester, cotton and spandex mix. The fabric offers comfort, 4-way stretch and wicking properties. It comes in just the one colour, so-called Mood Indigo which is a cool mix of greys and pinks.
There is a signature double-needle collar which gives a classic look with built-in collar stays for durability. An unobtrusive ‘m’ logo to the chest means that this is a polo that looks as good off the course as on it.
I have loved wearing the Featherweight Flourish. My only hesitation is that the fabric is so soft and lightweight, which may question the longevity of what is a cracking polo shirt.
PROS:
- Lightweight fabric.
- Bold print design
- Quality tailoring.
CONS:
- Loud pattern not for all
RRP: £85 / $89.95
Sizes: S-2XL
Colours: Mood Indigo
