Choosing the right golf shoe can often make, or break, a round. When you’re considering what shoes to get for your next pair, a brand you may not have considered before is FitVille. I suspect that is about change now.
Offering great options for those with wide feet and or conditions such as plantar fasciitis or hammer toe, these shoes should be on the radar for golfers with such requirements.

FitVille Men’s GreenTread Golf Shoes V2
This was my first exposure to the FitVille brand, and in fact it seems that the company has only been making golf shoes for a couple of years. I am pretty fortunate in that, although I have slightly wide feet, I seem to have no problem getting shoes to fit comfortably. But I know that is not the case for many people, for example with bunions or hammer toes, so I was interested to test these shoes out.
I’m also used to golf shoes prioritising comfort as looking, shall we say, a little bland. This was absolutely not the case with the SpeedEx V1. I think it helped that the White-Blue colour supplied is just my cup of tea. The look, as I hope the accompanying pictures show, is very much classy and comfortable smart trainer. The dashes of blue around the sole, laces and heel are just right, and although I am not one for logoing, I really liked the motif on the outer aspect of the heel piece as well as the blue “FitVille Golf” lettering on the mid-shoe.
Due to the sole design I think this is certainly a shoe that can easily be worn on and off the course, soI can see it appealing to a broad range of golfer. The SpeedEx V1 is good looking, comfortable and performs pretty well. And I expect the wide toe box to be a game changer for those golfers that have painful foot conditions.
PROS
- Very comfortable and good looking.
- Wide and extra wide fittings.
- Strong colour options.
CONS
- Lacks ultimate performance

FitVille SpeedEx V3 Golf Shoe
They certainly are comfortable. Ludicrously so. I’m going to start getting a reputation for saying, ‘these are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn’. But if that shoe fits…
I played in some bad weather. It was wet and rained persistently. But these shoes gripped well and planted during the swing. I’ve slipped around in such conditions with many a competitor so that was a genuine plus.
It might just be my experience. Perhaps the rain was getting through the bottom of my waterproof trousers. If you’re looking for something all-year round, though, you might want to bear this information in mind.
Given the price point, however, and the overall comfort of these shoes – which is astonishing – it is not a fatal detractor.
PROS
- Incredible comfort straight out of the box
- Considerable grip in wet conditions
- Amazing price
CONS
- There is a question mark over how waterproof they are

FitVille SpeedEx Golf Shoe V4
The FitVille SpeedEx shoes are in all fairness not going to turn any heads when you walk on to the first tee but they will get you there in comfort. They are ideal for those with wider feet with great insoles and excellent padding around the ankle for increased stability.
There is no need to break the shoes in and they are comfortable straight out of the box. The moulded cleats give excellent traction and would suit anyone looking for additional comfort and support.
The FitVille SpeedEx V4 is a really practical shoe. They perform well, especially in the wet , and are a must for those with orthopaedic conditions.
PROS
- Comfort straight out of the box
- Great performance in wet conditions
- Perfect for those looking for a wider fit

FitVille Men’s GreenTread Golf Shoes V2
There are countless options in the golf shoe market. Whatever style, features or budget there will be something available. The one thing that is less common is the option for multiple widths and shoes designed with an emphasis on foot health. The details of the various technologies Fitville have developed for all their shoes are beyond the scope of this review. I would recommend reading this on their website which also outlines their commitment to sustainability and ethical employment practices.
On first appearance I liked the clean modern look to the shoe. The various specs include a vegan leather upper which is water-resistant. I gave them a good soaking and my feet stayed dry. The soles have 7 removable, anti-clog cleats with an anti-torsion TPU insert.
Performance-wise there is not a lot other dislike about these shoes. Despite their width I felt well supported in both walking and hitting shots. The grip was excellent and while I only used them in dry weather, I have no doubt they will hold up well in the wet. Consequently these are a great option for a year-round shoe.
FitVille have done a great job in fulfilling a genuine need. Their website is packed with information about what seems an innovative and thoughtful company. If you have wide feet then look no further. They are also exceptional value.
PROS
- Superb comfort and support
- Water-resistant
- Multiple fitting options for wide feet
- Great value
CONS
- None
