Best Digimon Story Time Stranger Cross Arts tier list

Most of the damage dealt in Digimon Story Time Stranger is done with the help of your Digimons, but tamers have an active role to play with the use of Cross Arts.

These are powerful skills that belong to your Tamers. You begin with a basic one, then unlock more over your adventures. Going for the best is crucial since you can only equip one at a time.

Complete Digimon Story Time Stranger Cross Arts tier list

Before deep diving into the tier list, it’s crucial to understand that every Cross Arts has a role to play. There are no bad skills per se, but some are more usable than the rest.

  • S-tier skills are Cross-Arts that can be used in many situations. They’re at the top thanks to their versatility.
  • A-tier skills are decent shouts, but they can get overshadowed at times.
  • B-tier skills are average skills you can use if you want to, but other choices perform better.

S-tier

  • Strike: Unless you’re playing at the lowest difficulty, bosses are problematic to say the least. Having Strike will cause your Digimons to do better single-target damage, which makes them ideal for taking down the bosses. The effects are universal for all Digimons, irrespective of their strengths and weaknesses.
  • Heal: Unless you’re highly experienced with Digimon games, you can be in dire situations. Heal helps one Digimon from your party to recover their HP and SP. It’s handy to get out of poor positions in a battle.
  • High Field: A better version of Field that boosts all stats, but for three turns. Your whole party also becomes immune for one extra turn, and it’s the perfect choice for any battle (especially the hard ones).

A-tier

  • Burst: Unless you’re heavily mix-maxing your team, the Burst Cross Art is immensely useful. It completely ignores attributes and associated resistances. As a result, your party members will no longer have to worry about their attacks being resistant to the enemies. This is useful, but not so much if you’re building a team to target specific elemental weaknesses of the enemies.
  • Break: Break might not do much damage, but it applies ARK/DEF/INT/SPI debuffs on enemies for four turns. While there’s almost no damage, you can turn the debuffs to your favor (especially if combined with the enemies’ elemental weaknesses). Compared to Field, Break also lasts for two extra turns.
  • Aura: This option is useful against formidable enemies who inflict many status ailments. Using Aura will immediately heal all your monsters and remove their chances of getting status effects and debuffs.
  • Revive: A skill that immediately revives all allies with the ability to survive the next hit at 1 HP is useful, but you’ll ideally want to avoid such situations in the first place.

B-tier

  • Field: The Field Cross Arts is the first option in the game. It buffs all stats of your Digmons for two turns, and the buffs are substantial. Its utility is much greater in the early game when your party is weak and low-level. However, the use-case scenario gradually reduces as you improve your party.
  • Reverse: If you’re patient, Reverse will be your cup of tea. It permanently reverses attributes and elements while dealing with decent damage. The longer a battle goes, the higher your chances of winning it. However, this isn’t the optimal position for this particular Cross Arts in the B-tier.
